Foxy Bingo Review
Foxy Bingo was an old favourite of ours for a long time, back in the day it was up there with the likes of Gala and Mecca Bingo for brand familiarity and popularity. The last review we wrote of the site was when it was under the Cashcade Network and running on the Dragonfish BingoS platform. In the intervening years, things have changed. The Cashcade Network was absorbed elsewhere, and Foxy had a major platform change back in October 2018 when it moved to the ElectraWorks platform (Cozy).
So, in a way this a fresh review of the new Foxy. Let’s dive right in and see what awaits. First up, sign-up is straightforward enough, and in these times of increased regulation, you can set deposit limits as part of the process. They don’t ask for your occupation, like the DF software would and you can set your contact preferences as you complete registration.
The GVC cashier is straight-forward and easy to use. You’ll recognise it if you’ve used it at other sites like that GVC operate like Gala Bingo. Once you’ve made your first deposit and spent the required amount for the bonus, you’ll have to activate your welcome bonus in the Promotions area of the site. It took me a while to find mine as I had to scroll right on the page it took me to when I saw and clicked claim bonus button. It wasn’t there on the screen immediately visible, but after I figured it out and activated the bonus, all was well.
The majority of bingo at the site is 90 ball, with a couple of 75 ball rooms, an 80 and 30 ball room as well. Like in the olden days, there are mix of busy and not-so-busy rooms, suited to all price points and pockets. Foxy has a numbe of interesting game variations in some rooms, such as Roll-on Bingo where the game continues after the house is won to find more winners. This is alongside other types such as 1TG and everyone’s a winner style games.
The rooms are all accessible from the lobby, which gives you all the information you need to chosse your rooms. Ticket purchase is easy, but as this software is based on the Cosy model, there’s no old fashioned strips of six based approach, you just slide the slider to the desired number and click purchase. There are a few pre-selected numbers you can click on, but they seem a bit random not being based on the strip of 6 numbering you’re used to with other sites.
Now, for me the sign of a great bingo site is a wide range of exclusive promotions and offers for their players. Foxy has this in spades, with a wide range of jackpot games, extra bonuses and seasonal promos. They also have VIP specials and charity events alongside their special games.
Then there’s the other games. If you like to spin the old slots, you can’t grumble about the range they have on offer here, it’s literally huge. If you like a networked slot game, Foxy offers Daily Drop, Jackpot King, Eyecon Jackpots amongst the offerings. They have the biggest games from the best providers – IGT, NetEnt, Eyecon, etc. They also have their own exclusives such as Foxy and Friends and specially adapted slot game favourites. For my money, their side game offering eclipses the range on some smaller casino gaming sites – it’s pretty faultless on that side.
So all in all, Foxy still has what it takes to provide players with a great gaming experience, and they also can boast a huge brand familiarity thanks to their years of TV advertising and sponsorship.
Our Verdict:
Foxy Bingo remains a great bingo experience for players, depsite its move to a less regarded software platform and network. There is a wide range of choice for players and one of the busiest promo schedules outside of the big retail brands. Improvements can be made in their Ts and Cs and promo management, but overall, the experiences of Foxy Bingo is good.
