There are a number of celebrities that have endorsed bingo products in the past by appearing in their advertising but these well-known stars of stage and screen don’t stop at the advertising of the brands, we’ve seen some even have their own bingo product! The man many of us know from our childhood, Keith Chegwin, fronts Cheggers Bingo and we’ve even seen celebrity snapper Darryn Lyons with his own brand, Paparazzi Bingo.
Both brands chose the St Minver/G2 Gtech product for their site but unfortunately Paparazzi Bingo is now closed, however, Cheggers Bingo remains open and you’ll find Cheggers greeting you when you land at the site.
Celebrity endorsement for brands has included the likes of Jordan and Vic Reeves although neither are currently the face of any brands. Pink Ribbon Bingo, a charitable site, has a number of celebrities backing their brand but this is because of their involvement with the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity. Tamzin Outhwaite and Macy Gray are just a couple of stars that appear on the home page of this brand.
Whilst Gary Barlow may not be the face of a bingo brand online there have been a number of news articles in the past stating that he and Robbie Williams love a little “dab”ble with bingo.
Many brands have also used Russell Grant for various astrological games. We saw Foxy Bingo use the famous astrologer for a game at their site called Russell’s Lucky Stars and the Joy of Bingo brands have used him to provide horoscopes for their players.
Will we be seeing any big names used to promote a brand in the not too distant future? There’s a good chance one of the new Big Brother contestants could be the face of Big Brother Bingo!
