The Pasadena Bingo club used to be the Palace Picture Theatre.
What a place Pudsey used to be, and now it’s all gone. 1985 to 2000.
My mother (Irene Bell) owned the cub for around 30 years until it was sold to a group in the early 2000s. Seat for seat it was the busiest bingo club in the country, with seating for 320 it regularly entertained 2000 people a week. It was open 7 nights and 6 afternoons, only closing on Sunday afternoon. A wonderful social hub with a great staff and characterful customers.
