OK Magazine Bingo Review

Those with a very long memory will remember OK Magazine’s first foray into online bingo back in 2009, when the launched an online bingo site on the Cyber Bingo platform. In the intervening years, that site went the way of many UK sites that launched on the platform as it fell foul of being licensed outside the UK’s whitelisted regions. The name had all but gone from memory, until July 2020 when it has relaunched on the Jumpman platform. And how does it fair I hear you ask – let’s see…

The sign-up is straight forward, although it’s a little pushy to instantly pop-up a deposit now window at the end of the process. Theres a bit less to it info wise compared to Dragonfish, and should be issue free for anyone signing up. If you use the pop-up as an opportunity to deposit, you’ll get to access your welcome bonus with a spin of the megawheel to discover your reward.

As we’ve mentioned elsewhere, Jumpman have replaced their (frankfully woeful in recent years) bingo rooms and opted to use Pragmatic Play’s bingo network – a great move as it means there are more players in the rooms, and you’re playing for more than a bit of change you could find by digging your hand down the side of the sofa and having a rummage.

There’s not a lot of choice on the bingo rooms mind, especially given the low numbers of players in a few of them. 90 ball, 80 ball and 75 ball on offer. Still better to have one or two rooms that remain running than none at all. The bingo is very stripped back and almost feels like an afterthought. You might struggle to spot the bingo games from the lobby. Here’s a hint, click on the little tab with the globe shape on it. No. Me neither…

There seems to be more focus on the other games, as is the way with Jumpman these days. That’s fine if you like the slots and scratchcards, you’ll find plenty here with Eyecon and Jackpot King pooled jackpots in play, although they are their own ones here as they are a lot smaller than on some bigger networks. NetEnt, Eyecon and Megaways games are there to be enjoyed. But, if you came for the bingo it’s second fiddle for the time being.

That said, with the Pragmatic Play bingo in operation, there is more hope that the bingo side of things can at least grow once more. Jumpman used to do bingo well, and I hope that the recent big brand newspaper / magazine brands will bring in a lot more new players to make the bingo side swing a bit more. It’s early days but it will be interesting to see how well it grow with this new partnership.

Our Verdict:

The bingo is not the busiest out there, but it fine for those that enjoy a more boutique feel and smaller, cosier rooms. There doesn’t seem much there to tie it to the OK Magazine brand other than the logo, maybe they’ll introduce some more interesting promotions and tie-ins at some point.
