Recently we bought you news that Vinnie Jones is the front man for newly re-launched Daily Star Bingo and now you can see him advertising the brand on television. The commercial starts with the well-known ‘hard man’ in suit in front of signage for Jones Jones and Jones, Personal Injury Lawyers. He asks the question ‘Have you had an accident at work lately?’ before the famous snarl appears and he asks ‘ Well do I look like a nurse?’ and telling the viewer that they need to be a bit more careful.
The Daily Star Bingo commercial continues with Vinnie using the attention grabbing start to the advert to use a laptop to sell the wares of the brand. When all of that has been done, Vinnie simply says ‘I couldn’t have put it better myself”. The advert ends with Vinnie stating the web address for the brand before saying ‘Officially more fun than falling of a ladder.’

Whilst the commercial for Daily Star Games and Bingo does not take on the format of other adverts it is certainly attention grabbing with Vinnie at the fore. The advert does seem to be more casino focused than bingo, maybe the reason the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star agreed to fronting the campaign.
All too often we are subjected to the same storyline in the bingo commercials we see on television today, the Daily Star Bingo advert certainly makes a refreshing change. Whilst there is a laptop there isn’t an orgasmically screaming woman and there are only a couple of bingo balls that make an appearance.
