Being as it is Spring, we’ve decided to do a bit of spring cleaning on the site, which has meant creating some new Lost Halls pages to replace the Club Pages of halls that have closed down over the years.
It is always sad to find out a club has closed, but, the good news is that during my research I have also found some live clubs that we didn’t know about, and have added them to our Club Finder section.
One of my favourites of the Lost Halls is Savoy Bingo in Tonyrefail. Whilst the club has closed and is unlikely to reopen for bingo again, it is a bit of a success story.

Savoy Bingo, Tonyrefail
The club (right) which used to be a performance venue is being brought back to life as a theatre this year. The new owners are in the process of converting it into a community theatre which serve local people.
In the weeks since publishing the page we have received an update from the owners about the theatre, as well as a memory from one of the previous managers of the bingo hall. The new owners have also kindly provided us with photographs of the hall before its refurbishment, they can be seen on our Savoy Bingo gallery page.
New open clubs found include Winners Bingo in Thetford, which is good news again, as the last time we heard about Winners Bingo, it was due to the closure of their club in Brandon.
We’ve also found a club in Devises, Angel Bingo: it’s always nice to hear about an independent club that we didn’t know about, as without the back-up of a chain, these clubs can struggle to survive. We like this one as well because it is located in the premises of an old cinema, so again bingo saves another great old building from being demolished and being turned into a supermarket. We don’t have much information about the club, so if you do please help us update the page via the comments box below.
We’ve added over 50 new pages to the site, too many to list, so if you are interested just have a look in the Club Finder or Lost Halls sections to see what is in your area. We hope you enjoy the pages.
