Vicky Pryce is a name that many of you will be familiar with now, although only because she was recently jailed for perverting the course of justice. However, hers is not a name you would usually associate with bingo but according to The Sun newspaper, it’s eyes down and East Sutton Park Prison on Maidstone, Kent for the economics expert.
Pryce and her ex-husband Chris Huhne were recently jailed when she decided that she was going to exact revenge on him by spilling the proverbial beans about her taking points on her licence in order that Huhne did not lose his licence in 2003. Both received eight month jail sentences and it is whilst languishing in an open prison that bingo is being played by Pryce.
Although not stating it as true, The Sun say that “it is now thought she takes part in regular Friday night sessions with inmates”. They then have a play with bingo calls:
- Cup of Tea, number 3 – the number of points that she took for ex-hubby Huhne
- One Dozen, number 12 – the number of jurors that found her guilty
- Half Way There, number 45 – the age of Huhne’s lover
They could have also used:
- Garden Gate, number 8 – the number of months of the sentence received
- Knock At The Door, number 4 – the number of months of her sentence she is likely to spend in prison.
Originally Pryce, 60, was sent to the tough Holloway prison in London but was soon transferred to the East Sutton Park Prison.
