Forbidden Bingo Names

When it comes to naming a child there are certain names that people tend to steer clear of for obvious reasons. For example, how many babies to you hear of today being called Adolf? Surely the same principle can be applied to bingo brand names? We thought so which lead to us taking a look at some that we felt would not be appropriate for a brand…

We started with something quite obvious, Cheat Bingo, and checked out both the .co.uk and .com for each of the brands that we are going to look at. For Cheat Bingo we were shocked to find that the .com of the domain actually redirects to Jackpot City! The domain whois is protected so it could be that someone who had an issue simply wanted to make a point! The .co.uk has yet to be purchased.

Another on our list was Lose/r Bingo, neither of the .co.uk domains have been brought nor the .com of Loser but losebingo.com is registered. We were expecting some sort of page berating a number of poor brands available on the Internet, instead we found a site where you can earn money (although we aren’t entirely sure how as the text is in German).

Other domains that we looked at included:

  • Liar Bingo
  • Hooligan Bingo
  • Robber Bingo
  • Thief Bingo
  • Swindler Bingo

Of course there are numerous variants of forbidden bingo names but with a market that is currently saturated how long before we see even more idiotic names for brands pop up?

Can you think of a name for a brand that really would be a step too far (without being rude or using expletives?)
