Wish Bingo Review
Wish Bingo arrived on its magic carpet following a rub of the Mandalay Media lamp on 19th June 2014, opening to players for the first time on this date. Landing at the site at this time, you certainly got an Aladdin feel with the backdrop showing an Arabian bazaar. However, whilst it was all very cute and you expect to see Jasmine put in an appearance at any moment, there was a definite childish appeal in the design.
Early in 2018 all the sites from this company had to be redesigned slightly to create a look that had no appeal to under 18’s and the brand took on a more grown up feel. Even more so in August 2018 when a further redesign saw all cartoonish images removed completely.
That said, the Mandalay Media group are well known for providing a great gaming experience at their other brands (Costa, Sing, Fancy and City), so we were excited to get in on the Wish Bingo action.
As is the case with all online bingo sites, in order to play at Wish Bingo you need to create a user account. Whilst the sites on Mandalay Media are linked in a number of ways (jackpots, Diamond rewards etc.) you cannot use a login from one of the other brands to play at this site.
The registration process is pretty straightforward and not too dissimilar to what you may have already seen at a number of other brands. You should note though that if at the time of your sign up the site is offering a no deposit required bonus, financial details are needed. This is for verification only and no money will be taken from your account.
Once you have completed this process your first port of call is the Member Area of the site. From here you can see your current balances, both real and bonus, as well as your Player Class (Loyalty Level), any points you have earned and Diamonds available. Additionally, there are details of the current promotions shown in the centre of the screen.
To get in on the bingo action just click ‘Play Now’ and you’ll be taken to the main lobby, the hive of all activity at Wish Bingo. As we have come to expect from brands in this group, there is an impressive array of free bingo available and even special rooms for new players to use after first deposit and redeposit.
As is standard from Mandalay Media, the navigational menu is horizontal and in a tabular format boasting the traditional 75 and 90 ball games as well as a selection of Specials and the Instant Win games we have come to expect with our bingo. One downside of the site is that like Rio Bingo before it, the number of chat rooms open is limited, just the Help room, Lounge and one other available in which you can enjoy the social side of bingo.
The gaming experience in the rooms is much of a muchness with other brands from the same group but one of the best online as the site is powered by the 888/Cassava software. However, with the games being networked, it is hard to tell where one brand ends and another begins. That said, we are going to see a selection of exclusive promotions on offer from Wish Bingo so it is worth a visit to see if rubbing this lamp could be lucky for you.
Our Verdict:
Wish Bingo may not be able to grant all your wishes but when it comes to gameplay, promotions and a good all round site, they certainly tick all the right boxes.
