Treasure Bingo Review
Treasure Bingo was reincarnated by Mandalay Media in September / October 2014 as part of their network of sites. Previously we had seen the brand available on Virtue Fusion in 2010 as part of the Better Bingo Network but in 2013 it was closed. We now see the site powered by the 888 software under the Ignite hat and in yet another change, moved to the Grand Battery Holdings network as a part of the sale of 888’s bingo sites to them.
Even before we made our way to the site we pretty much knew what to expect with the design and we weren’t wrong. The theme for Treasure Bingo is pirates and of course, treasure. You’re greeted with a design that seems more fitting to a child’s television program though, rather than that of a gambling site.
You’re greeted with details of the welcome bonus for new players, details of a free game that plays every Friday (a networked game) and information about a selection of other specials available at the site. To set sail and see if this brand has treasure aplenty for you, simply click the ‘Join Now’ button and complete the sign up process. This takes just a couple of minutes and then you a ready to take a look at the map (lobby) and try and find the treasure at the site.
The map is actually the bingo lobby of course and sadly there is no X marking the room that you will win in, nor is there any guarantee that you are going to unearth any gold doubloons. What is guaranteed though is that the lobby is full of useful details that will all help you at least try and locate the winning rooms. There are details of the game type,
When you have chosen a room you will find yourself right at home with the usual layout that we are all used to from the 888 software in the rooms. You have your callboard on the left, your bingo tickets and game information in the centre of the screen and your chat room to the left of the screen. Sadly Treasure Bingo has just one actual chat room that is quite disappointing and can be quite confusing with players having tickets for different games in the same room.
There are only two different variants of the bingo game available at this site, 75 and 90 ball. You will find both pattern bingo and the odd game or two of multi-line 75 ball games offered, pattern games are the most prevalent though. In addition to bingo there are an array of instant win games on offer, some of these can be played in the same window as your bingo but doing so impedes on the chat experience. That said, with just one chat room, you’re not going to miss much. This gives the appearance that the brand is standalone, it isn’t.
When it comes to promotions we always knew that Treasure Bingo would deliver what looked to be impressive deals and they are, to a point. The best has to be the chance to win £10,000 for free each and every Friday; all we suggest is that you remember you will be playing against others from sites like Rio, Angry, Bingola and Wish Bingo.
There are jackpots aplenty with a section dedicated to the pre-buy games; this is where the treasure is buried! However, the site does not offer the progressive bingo jackpots that you may be used to at other sites using the 888 software.
In summary it is just another skin from Mandalay Media but let’s be honest, they do skins pretty well so it’s worth walking the virtual plank to check this one out.
Our Verdict:
Treasure Bingo has a lot of gold to offer by way of impressive gameplay and plenty of free games. Throw in the welcome offer that carries no wagering requirements and it’s clear to see why players think they have struck gold with this site.
