Dinky Bingo Review

Dinky Bingo has now closed – Here lies a review to remind us of its passing.

Launched in early 2020, Dinky Bingo is the latest addition to the sites run by Tau Gaming. The question is though, is it different enough to its stablemates to make you want to sign-up, or is it a dinky entry into the world of online bingo skins.

Upon arrival, the site has a clean, modern web design feel going on, a million miles from the old school 1990s design of your typical Dragonfish skin. As you’d expect, their new player offer is the biggest info you’ll see on the homepage. You can scroll down for extra info on the site and slots / games available. As crisp and clear as this Tau Gaming skin is, I’d like a bit more meat on the homepage such as info on regular promos and some community feeling to entice me into the site.

If you’ve been around online bingo for any length of time, you’ll no doubt rue the amount of info you now have to put in to your registration to be able to play. It’s all thanks to the Gambling Commission and privacy laws of recent years. Once you’ve give the info they request, and they can happily say the Know Your Customer, you’re away, it’s time to get in and play your bingo.

I’m happy to be able to say there’s plenty of bingo choice on offer here, with networked 90 and 75 ball rooms in play all day and other specials that you can pre-buy in advance such as big jackpot games and free bingo games. There are rooms to suit every pocket, with low-stakes and games being very popular rooms with lots of players in there. There are also the typical and less frequent networked Jackpot games available should you want to go for big money.

If you like the slots, then Dinky offers a number of very popular games from the like of NetEnt and Eyecon. The range me be a bit lacking compared to some other sites, with linked Jackpot slots being in short supply and some providers not supplying games, but it’s inline with what you’d expect at a networked skin, and there’s plenty to play. Alongside top slots there’s also Scratchcards and Keno style instants.

Whilst there is enough bingo and slots going on and the chat rooms are busy, beyond that there’s no real sense of a bigger community that you get at other bigger sites. The range of promotions is also a bit lack-lustre, and I’d like to see more Dinky specific promos going. If you just want good value-for-money bingo and the Real Money wagering benefits, then there’s nothing to put you off. If you want a bit more though, you might find the site frustratingly lacking.

Our Verdict:

Fresh for 2020 with a striking and modern design, beyond the trimmings Dinky offers a solid tried and tested bingo offering, but is short on any real features that make it stand head and shoulders above other sites of the same network and bent. Nothing really wrong, but nothing to get excited about either.
