Buttercup Bingo Review
Buttercup Bingo has now closed – The review remains for information.
The line goes ‘Why do you build me up buttercup baby just to let me down again’, but will Buttercup Bingo be building you up for a fall? In May 2014 this brand became another added to an ever expanding list of sites that are part of the Live Bingo Network (LBN) and if you read our reviews often, you’ll know that this means the site is powered by software from Cozy Games.
There are all the usual generous sign up bonuses expected from brands on this software, and access to a free play room to get you started. Signing up for a new account is really easy, you just need to include your financial details in order to receive access to the free bingo room.
However do be aware that if you’re signed up to any other site on the Live Bingo Network you may well have trouble finding a unique username, your favourite will already be registered. When you do come to deposit and claim your sign up bonus you’ll find a selection of depositing methods allowing you to get started with a debit card, Paypal, Paysafe Card, Ukash, or Neteller.
The homepage is bright and sunny, with the usual cartoon graphics associated with online bingo. The theme is farmyard, and ‘Buttercup’ is actually a Friesian Cow who looks down over the entire site.
Once you are registered, hit bingo to check out the games. From here you’ll see the rooms in list format. There are plenty of bingo rooms to choose from, and plenty of players too, there’s Bingo 90, Bingo 80, Bingo 75 and Bingo 30 with the most players in the Bingo 90 rooms. Pot sizes are reasonable and ticket prices start from just a penny so there’s lots of budget bingo and something for everyone.
In the bingo rooms the software is of lower grade than some of the biggest bingo sites out there, but it’s acceptable enough if a little glitchy. The tickets themselves are easy on the eye and there are lots of BOGOF offers and free tickets game by game. Chat isn’t really the community affair it is at many sites and the chat hosts aren’t really chatty, preferring to post long asciis and strings of smileys. If you’re familiar with this software then you’ll find everything fairly familiar and as the sites are networked you will be playing against players from across the network.
In one area Buttercup Bingo excels is with its sheer choice, not just with the bingo variants as alongside this you’ll find a huge selection of instant wins, slots, casino and scratchcards and you really will be spoiled for choice.
Overall Buttercup Bingo is ok, the software could use some improvements, but there are plenty of good points too! If nothing else the generous no-deposit bonuses may make it worth a peek!
Our Verdict:
