At the moment we do not have details of the events that led up to, or any of the circumstances surrounding the closure of the Zetters Bingo Wolverton. If you have any details that may assist us, and you would like to share them with our readers, we would love to hear from you. If you let us know what you know, we will put the details online with your name credited (if you wish, or we can credit the article as anonymous). You will be doing a service to the bingo community and posterity by helping us record details of all Britain’s bingo clubs and halls. Thank you.
While we lament the demise of any bingo club, it is always reassuring to find out that at least the premises haven’t been demolished. Perhaps for slightly ‘selfish’ or ‘personal’ reasons, we hold onto the hope that maybe bingo will return one day, but that aside, it’s good to know that there is something going on in the venue, and that it has not been demolished and turned into a supermarket. In the case of Zetters, the premises are now owned by a church, as can be seen below. To our knowledge the church is still evident in the old theatre, but if we are wrong about that, or if there is something else that you can tell us about the venue or the bingo club ‘Zetters’, please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
