We don’t know much about Star Bingo other than the fact that it closed in 2005, and opened sometime between then and the sixties/seventies. Originally the Regent Cinema, it opened in 1935 with a very small capacity of 400. Originally an independent, it was taken over by Star Cinemas, who brought in bingo part-time, and latterly full-time. The conversion meant removal of much of the original interior, but what was left is no longer there to be seen, as the building was demolished in 2006.
