If you contact us, and let us know what you know, we will put the details online with your name credited (if you wish, or we can credit the article as anonymous). You will be doing a service to the bingo community and posterity by helping us record details of all Britain’s bingo clubs and halls. Thank you.
We do know that the premises opened originally as a cinema in 1910, and that it went by the name Broadway Electric Theatre, and went through subsequent name changes – Broadway Cinema, and Gaumont – prior to its reopening as a bingo Hall by Tommy Trinder in 1961 under the name Top Tank. We also know that the premises were demolished and replaced by an amusement arcade in 1987, which still has bingo onsite.
