Back in 2017 we reported the following: “Over the past couple of years there has been talk of the Elephant & castle shopping centre being demolished to make way for a new development. Palace Bingo however have a current lease, as do the Palace Superbowl. The lease may be broken by a compulsory purchase order, but the owners first have to provide plans for supporting the relocation of all businesses in the centre. As a result, it looks like Palace Bingo is safe until 2019.”

Well, 2019 hit and news came of the closure of the club in March 2019. Based in the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre, the club had a great reputation from the comments that were left here for it. As the club page has gone, so have the comments. The club is relocating at some point, but as of yet we don’t know where and when that’s to be. When it does we will open a new club page, and this page will remain as a reminder of the old club.

Update: September 2019

The search for a new club continues, in June 2019 the Palaces had been in discussion to buy a club from Buzz Bingo – this was on The London Palace Facebook page –

“It has been closed since March 31st and everyone was given two months notice and sent a number of text messages. The shopping centre is due for demolition and an alternative club was agreed to be purchased from Buzz but they pulled out of the agreement so we were left high an dry. We are seeking another premises but it is a slow process.”

As of now, September 2019 there is still no news as to this alternative venue.
