Date of closure: 2009
Address (for reference only):
Top Ten Bingo
Market Place
Leicester
LE1 5GF
Little is currently known about why Leicester Top Ten closed, although the year it closed does suggest economic factors were involved. It was a former cinema, and the good news is that it would appear to be earmarked as an entertainment venue for the foreseeable future. Hopefully new owners will treat the building’s exterior and interior with ‘kid gloves’ and preserve it just in case bingo does make a turnaround and the people of Leicester want it back for daily daubing.

This was the former Gaumont Cinema, located at 40 Market Place. Sad to advise, the building has been gutted internally to become ‘ODEON ARCADE’.
