Kettering Gala Bingo – High Street

The Kettering Gala Bingo was located in the premises of an old cinema and closed its doors as a bingo venue in June 2018, one of the sites that didn’t make the transition from Gala Bingo to Buzz Bingo. It was situated in the premises of what used to be the Regal Cinema. The Regal was a ‘grand’ cinema from the age when cinemas were constructed with style. The 2,000 seater was air conditioned and had the full orchestra pit, as well as footlights, presumably for variety as well as other performances. It was eventually taken over and renamed by Granada, and during the sixties became a music venue.

Located in the centre of Kettering, the disused building hit the headlines in 2019 when a massive cannabis factory was found on the premises. The building remains empty and we’re waiting to see what is planned for the premises.
