Date of closure: 3rd May 2020
Address (for reference only):
Crown Bingo (Lost Halls)
Falling attendance figures at the club were blamed for its closure, with Crown Bingo announcing its closure via their social media page. 17 staff worked at the hall which had been open for bingo since the late 1960s. Originally the building was opened in 1912 as the Criterion Cinema. It was converted to sound in 1929 and continued to operate as a cinema until 1968.
As for its future, we are not sure what is planned for the building, and will keep an eye to see what happens next. You can read more about the closure here.
A few shots of the interior of the club here from their facebook page. The photographers are unknown.
