At the moment we do not have details of the events that led up to, or any of the circumstances surrounding the closure of the Gala Bingo Birmingham, although we do know a bit about the venue’s history. The Danilo Cinema opened in 1938 with seating for over 1,500. Designed by Ernest S Roberts in Art Deco style, it was taken over by Essoldo in 1954, and operated under that name until it closed cinema in 1968.
