Barry Tivoli Bingo – Holton Road

This club was originally a cinema, the Tivoli, which opened in 1939. A long thin cinema, it originally seated 850 people. The cinema closed in 1973, from where it was turned into a bingo club. The club moved to Broad Island House on Broad Street. We think this happened in the early 1990s as the club was empty and derelict for a period of time prior to its demolition. It was demolished in 1994, and the land was used to build the Barry Job Centre which remains to this day. We’ve not been able to find out much more about this club, so any extra info you could supply would be welcomed.
