Serving as a bingo hall until the summer of 2018, the Ashford Mecca Bingo originally started its life as the Ashford Odeon cinema back in 1936. Its closure was blamed on dropping attendances and a loss of operating profability by Mecca Bingo. The future of the building is currently uncertain. The local council has mooted plans to demolish part of the building, but as of yet there are no firm plans (read more.)
