Originally built as the Central Halls for dances, the venue was converted into the Central Cinema opening on 22nd July 1922. It remained a full-time cinema until going over to part-time cinema/bingo in the later 1950s before showing its last film ‘The Miracle Worker’ on Saturday 22nd December 1962. Still named Roman bank, it is now under ownership of the Majestic Bingo chain.
Can you help us fill in more details about the Skegness Roman Bank Bingo? We’d like to know when the club opened. Was it owned by another bingo chain before its current owners took over? If you can answer these questions then please contact us. We would love to hear from you if you can help us with these and any other details and interesting facts about this club.
