This town-centre club is likely the oldest of the Oasis bingo venues, having first opened in 1998 in Cookstown, County Tyrone. There is also a corporate trail worth noting: Viva Bingo Hall Limited was incorporated in 2002 at the same 55 Union Street address, though the exact link between that company and the club’s Oasis branding isn’t fully documented. Either way, the venue has built up a strong local following over nearly three decades, offering traditional and electronic bingo, gaming machines, a bar and diner, free parking and an evening bus service, with extensive opening hours running into the small hours seven days a week. A council leisure survey found it to be the most commonly named bingo destination among local residents, underlining its status as a fixture of the town.
Like the rest of the Oasis estate, Cookstown passed into Merkur’s ownership when the company completed its acquisition of Oasis Retail Services in October 2025. Unlike Bangor, however, this club has not been rebranded and continues trading as Oasis Bingo Cookstown, with its own website and signage still in place.
