Bingomation
We love all things bingo as our readers will know, from images of the bingo halls (both old and new), to short stories and an array of competitions – you’ll find it all here at Playing Bingo. Both online and offline, we’ll always bring you a great selection of news as well as promotional offers and interesting and informative articles so when we heard of Bingomation, we were sure you’d love to get involved.
Bingomation is, as the creators describe it, where bingo meets animation. It’s the brainchild of Haley Akins, Tom Kilburn and Chris Egglestone and showcases work from illustrators, animators and designers from across the globe.
Better still, you can get involved if you are any of the above!
Getting Involved With Bingomation
An array of illustrators, animators and designers have created animated images that represents the traditional bingo calls but not all 90 have been covered as yet.
All of the submissions have had to meet strict criteria, as will any submission you wish to make. These are:
- The file must be in GIF format and be 500×500 pixels in size.
- It must be under 5 seconds long and loop.
- The GIF must include the number it relates to in Patagonia Font (a font available to download at the site).
- A specific colour palette must be used and is provided at the Bingomation website here.
To get involved you just have to visit the site and pick the number that you would like to animate. Please do this before you get started otherwise there is a risk of duplication.
It’s easy to see what has yet to be done when you visit Bingomation.
A Couple Of Our Favourites From Bingomation
A personal favourite of ours is number 58. It shows a door with two men in top hat and tails. They knock on the door, but there is no answer. Number 58 – make them wait!
Number 57 was a bit obvious; a can of Heinz baked beans.
So far, it’s number 43 that we really like and here it is:
