Chain: Witnall Automatics (Lost Halls)
Witnall Automatics was a small independent bingo operator whose clubs spread across England under their own local names rather than a shared brand. The company behind it was incorporated on 22 March 1973 as Harry Witnall (Automatics) Limited, and took the Witnall Automatics name on 6 March 1996. Its registered office is in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, and it’s registered at Companies House under number 01103255. Records from before its takeover list three clubs trading under the Witnall licence: the Ritz Bingo Club in Belper, Clifton Bingo on Westbury Street in Leominster, and the Crown Bingo & Social Club in South Shields.
Witnall’s time as a stand-alone bingo chain came to an end when entrepreneur Kevin McGinnigle bought the company, which became the starting point for Real Fun Group in 2023. Its surviving clubs now operate as part of that wider group, while the Leominster club has since closed.
