Chain: Shipleys Bingo (Lost Halls)
Shipleys is still very much trading, but its estate has changed over the years, with sites opening, closing and moving as the group adapts. A clear example is Erdington in Birmingham. In 2024, Shipley Estates Limited applied for a bingo premises licence for the former Costa unit at 90–92 High Street, saying that if it were granted, it would give up the adult gaming licence on its existing arcade at 243 High Street. Local councillors opposed the plan, but a Shipleys Bingo Lounge now trades at the new address, and the old arcade is no longer part of the group’s list.
Gambling Commission records have, at various times, also listed Shipley’s-licensed premises in several other towns, including Cannock, Tamworth, Corby and Coventry. These don’t appear on the group’s current club list.
