Chain: Planet Bingo

Planet Bingo Group is a small bingo operator based in Northern Ireland, with clubs in Belfast and Newtownards, County Down. Its flagship is Galaxy Bingo, which has been trading since 1996 on the first floor of the Cityside shopping centre (also known as Yorkgate) on York Street in Belfast. In 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic forced Galaxy to close its doors in March, and it reopened in May 2021 with a new café and a six-day week of sessions.

Like other clubs in Northern Ireland, these operate under a licence from the local magistrates’ court, rather than from the Gambling Commission, which regulates bingo in Great Britain.
