Halifax Mecca Bingo offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo everyday, afternoon and evening, and it regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money.

If you look at the picture of the building’s exterior (below), you can see that obviously this venue didn’t start out as a bingo hall. It was originally opened as the Halifax Odeon in 1938, when new cinemas were popping up like mushrooms. It had and still has a ‘landmark’ tower which is now emblazened with the Mecca insignia. The cinema closed in 1975, and has been a bingo club ever since.

There’s seating for 600, and 30 EBingo terminals. There is a bar, a cafe, and table service. For disabled patrons there are 4 disabled seats, 1 disabled toilet, and disabled access. Please contact us if you can give us more information on this club’s background or history.

  1. Machines again all night. It’s not the smoking ban that has made these clubs empty, its greed. Whatever happened to fair play? It’s greed based now American style. Mecca max’s have ruined what used to be a fair game. Greed. And they have not raised the prices, bingo used to be busy, its dead now thanks to the greedy operators that max up chasing money. You have ruined bingo with your greed.
