Dumfries Buzz Bingo (Formerly Gala Bingo) – Shakespeare Street

Dumfries Buzz Bingo (Formerly Gala Bingo) offers bingo players the opportunity to play bingo every night, although it is not open every afternoon. The club regularly runs promotions to give you better value for your money, including free bingo – give them a ring to see when you can grab a chance to play for free.

The club used to be a cinema, the ‘Regal’ which opened in 1931 with seating for almost 1700 patrons. If you look at the photo below you may wonder how so many folks would fit into an apparently small club, but like many urban cinemas, the auditorium was built off-road. In 1972 the venue was split for bingo and cinema, with bingo being called in the stalls. The cinema is at the time of wring still in operation, so you can pop in for a film as well as a bit of bingo dabbing.

The club is located in the centre of Dumfries, it has a bar, diner, and slot machines if you fancy a little spin while you’re waiting for the game to start.
