Travellers No Good

My wife and I used to be regulars at Mecca Oldham but since the introduction of the travellers we only go now and then, we both feel that the travellers are not in the spirit of the game of Bingo where everyone, regardless of who they are, has the same chance of winning as the next person. Travellers therefore give the people who have them an unfair advantage, the only people who should be allowed travellers are those that are unable to dab due to age or a disability.

In Praise Of The Travellers

I know the travellers get on peoples nerves but they do make up the fantastic money Oldham pays out, and I play in Buckinghams and Gala and they seem to have a lot more travellers but the money is poor.

Same Winners 3

I have to agree, it seems if you have the money to spend on the Travellers you win more. Not sure how much the people who keep winning spend on them but it can't be cheap. I know some people may have trouble playing 'Proper' bingo but where's the fun in watching a screen that fills the numbers in for you? Even if I could afford it I would not play them.

Also has anyone else noticed the Monday nights £10 all in, the people who stay till the end are sometimes playing for £10 a line, £15 2 lines and only £50 a house. Surely the people who stay all night should be rewarded with better prize money.

I used to go at least 2 times a week now it's probably once a month. I need to find another club with less Travellers and better prize money for the lates.

I am a regular customer at Mecca Oldham, and have been for 30 years! I play the travellers and I can assure you that I only win a little more than I used to!! Then again I am playing AND paying the equivalent of four people playing books.

Same Winners 2

I have to completely agree with R. Maghill it is the same people all the time that win and I think the travellers, as they are known should be banned. They win more than once every time and it's the same users that win on them. I can appreciate that they are more expensive and you get more tickets but it doesnt give everybody an equal chance. I have been a member at Mecca oldham for some years and go 3 times a week, but like R. Maghill I will be trying a different bingo hall.

Changes For The Better

I have been going to Mecca Oldham for years, when Jeff left the place went down, but they now have 2 managers who are lovley and very helpful, also the staff are very nice and a lot of people comment on how the club has chnged for the better and the money is very good.

Spoiled By Mobile Bingo

I have to agree with R Mcgill. The same people win all the time. More than once. Is there a time to arrive, is it best to buy the mobile card machine? Who knows? But they seem to know. We used to go twice a week we now go twice a year!

The Same Winners

I have been going to Mecca in Oldham for some years now but feel I dont want to play at Mecca any more. For the past few months you can point out who is going to win before the session even starts because the same people win not only once but two or three times in one session and that has been happening for months now. It would be a shame to have to leave all my friends I have made over the years at Mecca behind and have to start again at a new Bingo but i feel i do not have any choice than to try another Bingo. I feel I might as well just hand my money to the same peope that always win as soon as I walk through the door becauses it is the same people that get it all the time.
