Often it is just one complaint that triggers an investigation into an advertisement by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) but for Paddy Power Games, the latest saw two! The advert in question was for Paddy Power Games and was seen on TV back in December 2017. It featured a casino security guard watching customers gamble before turning away to play on his mobile phone.
The two complainants challenged whether the ad was socially irresponsible because it implied it was acceptable to gamble in the workplace. The ASA investigated the complaints but they were not upheld. However, back in November, a similar complaint about the same advert saw it banned….
