Club 2000 Bingo

National Game Win
At Club 2000

A regular player at the Club 2000 Bingo hall on Aspects Leisure Park in Bedford recently landed herself an impressive National Bingo game win, one worth £50,000! The 52 year old who is a support worker, a mother of five and grandmother of 14 is understandably over the moon but has chosen to remain anonymous.

Although a regular at the Club 2000 Bingo hall, she openly admits that she hasn’t been playing very long. That said, she was keen to tell a reporter from Bedford Today that she loves going to the club because the staff and customers are so friendly and a visit to the venue gets her out of the house.

What Would You Do With Massive Bingo Win?

Saturday, Feb. 4th 2017 2:50 PM

We’re really pleased that land based bingo is still notching up the big wins in the clubs, as just like online bingo, the the allure of a life changing win is a real draw that keeps the players playing bingo. The latest big land based winner is an anonymous granny who bagged and impressive bingo win of £233,000 at Mecca Bingo in Sale.

The National Game, which the lucky lady won is a linked game that is played across clubs in the UK simultaneously. This means that you are unfortunately playing against thousands and thousands of other players, not just the few hundred that may be sat around you in your club.

Lady Luck Turns Up In Leeds

Wednesday, Feb. 4th 2015 10:43 AM

If you are a regular bingo player, and you can do a bit of maths, you will know that the money you spend over the years combined with the chances of winning mean that the average player is in deficit over the long term. A night at the bingo is a night out, a bit of fun and socialisation, with the vain hope that one night Lady Luck will smile upon you (even though she always seems to smile upon someone else). Nothing can change this.

Still, despite this, players persist players in adorning their booths with lucky charms, or carrying them in their pockets, around their necks, or the old favourite, the lucky pen. Buying more books does help narrow the odds, despite the random nature of the bingo balls, but there are only so many cards you can mark of at a time, which is why many players frown upon the automatic marking of eBingo.

Beacon Bingo Big Payout Night

Saturday, Jan. 24th 2015 10:33 AM

A while back we noted that Beacon Bingo paid out a whopping £100,000 to a lucky player at their Cricklewood club. The event in November last year attracted loads of players eager to grab the in-house jackpot.

There were also several four figure cash prizes in the event, so apart from the big winner there were a lot of happy smiling faces that night (and there may have been some losing downturned faces, but, not everyone can win…).

Changes And Improvements To The National Bingo Game

Thursday, Mar. 6th 2014 7:46 AM

If any of our readers have visited the Creative Corner here at Playing Bingo then you will know that it was quite a few years ago that I first visited a land based bingo hall. Once I’d realised that it wasn’t all blue rinses and walking frames, I was a regular before switching my focus to online play. I do still visit the halls on occasion but not quite as often as I once did and it would appear that I am just the patron that the National Bingo Game Association (NGBA) wish to reengage and get coming back to the halls.

When I first started playing bingo in the clubs the National Bingo Game prize money was around the £100,000 mark, now jackpots of these proportions are only available on the Internet (and even then very rarely although currently one such prize pool is on offer at Costa Bingo). Things are changing though as the NGBA up their game.

York In The Money At Mecca Bingo, Fishergate

Thursday, Jun. 14th 2012 7:08 AM

It was a Mecca Bingo hall that popped my bingo cherry when I was taken kicking and screaming along with a friend and her Nan to my first ever session. The family of four from York are currently celebrating a whopping £22,392.99 when after being the first to call the full house on the National Bingo Game in their local Mecca Bingo hall. Details of the winners are not known although reports from the York Press (article here) suggest that there were two adults in the 50’s and two of the party were in their 20’s or 30’s.

A team leader at the Mecca Bingo hall in Fishergate, Jo then Dale, had this to say about the win “As you can imagine the group were all very excited and one lady rushed outside. When someone wins in the club everyone gets excited creating a great atmosphere”.
