Velvet Bingo Review - Site Reviews
Velvet Bingo does not offer an affiliate scheme through which we can promote their brand. For this reason we have directed you to another brand on the same network that offers the same gaming experience.
Velvet Bingo opened to players in mid November 2013, the second in that month to launch using the Cozy Games software on the Live Bingo Network. Landing at the site for the first time you are greeted with a Broadway type feel and a Caro Emerald look alike. The design is very 30’s and the colour scheme very ‘satin sheet’.
The home page sports the Caro Emerald look alike in many different poses advertising the welcome package, the deposit bonuses and the fact that you can even play at Velvet Bingo on your mobile or tablet.
To get started with the brand you have to complete the sign up process, a short form that requires the usual information. This is the first brand on this software that we have come across that asks players to provide their financial details at registration. Without this information, you cannot proceed.
Unlike many brands on the Live Bingo Network, a deposit is required to play at Velvet Bingo – there’s not a no deposit required bonus that we have come to expect from these sites. Could it be that when we step through the virtual doors we will find something else that is a little different?
Sadly not, a visit to the lobby revealed that whilst they may have dropped the free cash at registration, Velvet Bingo is pretty much the same as all of the other brands on the network. This could be both a good and bad thing; you know what to expect when you step through the virtual doors or you’re bored before you even enter a room!
There are four versions of the online game available with the site, 30 ball, 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball. There is also an array of instant win and slot games available to choose from. An additional bonus about the slots at Velvet Bingo is that bonus funds can be used to play them. You should note though that if you use bonus funds to play, winnings will be paid in bonus and therefore cannot be withdrawn.
There are jackpots aplenty to be found in the rooms at Velvet Bingo too, each is shown from the main lobby. These are won by calling bingo in a set number of calls or less and the information is available about the number of calls in the rooms. In addition to the big money games there is also a selection of free bingo. The no cost rooms can be seen from the main lobby of the site.
Velvet Bingo are doing things a little differently to the norm for a Live Bingo Network/Cozy Games site BUT there are still issues surrounding withdrawals and chat hosts that need to be addressed for the site to be worthy of our thumbs up.
