Rio Bingo Review - Site Reviews

Rio Bingo opened to players on 24th April 2014, the fifth brand from the Mandalay Media company. This company are behind big names like Costa Bingo so we were expecting great things before even visiting the site. As expected the site features macaws in the design of the home page (although not Blu from the Blue Sky Studios films). It’s certainly colourful and with an impressive welcome bonus to boot (£5 free and 500% at launch) it certainly entices a player to register and play.

That’s exactly what we did, register to play at Rio Bingo and found the sign up process really simple – your standard Dragonfish sign up process but whilst the no deposit required bonus was on offer, financial details were required in order to be eligible for the deal. Within minutes you will be ready to play and visit the Member Area. Click ‘Play Now’ and you are taken straight to the lobby.

It is here that it becomes apparent that this is another standalone brand, prior to reaching the lobby we weren’t quite sure. However, our review was written on the day the site opened, we were shocked to find that for a standalone brand there were over 3,000 players in some of the big money pre-buy games. This could be attributed to the company promoting the brand internally to players from the likes of Costa and Fancy though.

There are several tabs available from the lobby as well as the traditional 75 and 90 ball tabs. There’s a place for free games, a little cheap prize bingo under Samba Surprise, a selection of pre-buy jackpots found under Lavis Jackpots, Hot Slots, VIP Club and then a couple of promotional tabs that look as though they will change over time.

To be honest the lobby layout is not too dissimilar to that found at other brands from the same company and with the software provided by 888/Cassava, the gaming experience is the same too. However, what will make this brand a success if the array of promotions and extras that are on offer.

From the welcome bonus (which is likely to change quite soon after the site has been open a couple of weeks) to the big money pre-buy games, the progressive jackpots to the prize bingo – Rio Bingo is bringing a party to the bingo table.

There were a few hiccups when writing the review – not being awarded a chat game win because despite having funded, not showing to the host as having deposited unless we logged out and back in again – but sadly that is a common issue with brands on this software.

Rio Bingo may not be a new bingo paradise in so far as the software is available at hundreds of other brands on the Internet today BUT it will fly high we think!
