My Charity Bingo Review - Site Reviews

As of 1st November 2014 all sites offering bingo to UK players had to have a licence under the UK Gambling Commission. Currently My Charity Bingo do not hold such a licence so we can no longer promote their brand.

My Charity Bingo opened to players in January 2013 and is powered by the Aberrant software using the Functional Games Network. The home page of the brand, although rather dull in comparison with other online bingo brands, brings to the attention of visitors that this brand gives 75p of every £1 deposited to charity and is the main reason we have chosen to even review the brand. Had this been just another pay to play site, a full review would not have been warranted simply because of our opinion of the gaming experience offered by products on this software and platform.

As part of the registration process when signing up to My Charity Bingo you are given three options for your charitable donations:

  1. Support the chosen charity for the month by the site.
  2. Choose your own charity to support.
  3. Choose a friends fundraiser page from the Just Giving site.

If you choose option two then you are asked to type a charity’s name in the search box and then pick from a list and the same for option three, just type in your friends name. As the site integrates with Just Giving’s API, there are over 8,000 charities to choose from and you have multiple options available.

As soon as you have chosen your charity and completed your registration you are required to validate your account through a welcome email in order to receive the £10 no deposit required bonus offered.

When you enter the lobby the number of rooms available to choose from may surprise you. These are presented in list format with a selection of details available. These included time until next game, game name, game type, ticket price, pot prize, jackpot, number of players in the room and the number with tickets. Plenty of detail to help you make an informed decision to suit your game preferences and budget. The site only offers 75 ball variant and 90 ball bingo options though which is quite disappointing.

When you have chosen a room you will find the layout significantly different for the bingo than you may have been used to at other brands. The chat is to the left taking up about a fifth of the screen with the remainder of the screen taken up with your bingo tickets. Purchasing options are quite straightforward and details about the game are listed above your cards.

Whilst we are impressed with the ethos of this brand we do have a duty of care to our readers and it would be wrong of us to wax lyrical about the product without giving you all the facts. These are factors you seriously have to consider before make a deposit with My Charity Bingo.

We purchased 30 tickets are a cost of 6.00. We were the only player in the room; the prizes won were as follows:

This means the house took a total of €3.09

We love the ethos of this brand and that is why, despite the lack of an affiliate program, that we have chosen to advertise the brand free. However, as a player and if you accept the bonus offers, it is worth noting that you are unlikely to be in a position to withdraw from My Charity Bingo but your chosen charity will benefit with each deposit.

It’s a decision only you can make but we wanted to provide you all of the details so that you decision is an informed one.
