Monkey Bingo Review - Site Reviews
Monkey Bingo swung onto the online bingo scene in early November 2014, another site to join the expanding numbers of brands from Mandalay Media powered by the 888 software. The home page of the site is awash with cheeky chimps or adorable apes, but as is becoming more and more the case with brands from this company, the aesthetic seems to be more suited to a program on CBeebies rather than gambling site. That said, we know exactly what to expect when we step into the jungle that is Monkey Bingo.
There’s an abundance of detail as to what the brand has to offer new players shown on the home page as well as mention of some of the big jackpots available when you trek through their jungle. What you do have to consider when registering with Monkey Bingo is that many of the big money games are linked with other sites from Mandalay like Rio, Wish and Bingola to name a few. This was apparent when the host in Monkey CHAT welcomed us to City Bingo.
With that said, whilst the games are linked, as are the Diamonds that you can earn as a player at the site. Now you just need to register to play and you are ready to monkey around at this brand. Signing up for a new account takes just seconds but if the site has a no deposit required bonus available, your financial details are required to start playing. This is for verification purposes only and no money will be taken from your account unless you choose to make a deposit.
Once you have completed the registration form you are ready to ‘swing’ into action in the rooms. You are first taken to the Members section of the site and it is here you can see your current balances; cash, bonuses, loyalty points and Diamonds. You’ll also see details of the latest offers available from Monkey Bingo. Click ‘Play Now’ and you will be taken to the lobby, the hive of all activity.
It is from the lobby that you can see all the site has to offer by way of games, both bingo and instant win. Monkey Bingo is only home to three different variety of online bingo game (at the time of the review at least) with 75 ball available as pattern games mostly but with the occasional multi line offering and of course, 90 ball bingo. There are an impressive selection of instant win games available at the site too.
Navigation from the main lobby is via a horizontal menu that is tabulated. Each tab is clearly marked with what each section has to offer. Free, Bingo, Jungle Jackpot, £10K Banana – it’s all pretty self-explanatory. With an array of information on show in the lobby, it is easy to choose a room that suits your budget and gaming requirements from Monkey Bingo.
Step into any of the rooms available and you’ll feel right at home whether you are a bingo novice or a stalwart online bingo player. The purchasing options of tickets are to the left of the screen and become the callboard when a game is underway. The centre of the screen boasts the tickets with game details above and then to the right is the chat room and a selection of mini games and instant win options. Some of the latter can be played in the same room as your bingo.
As with all of the newer sites from Mandalay Media, Monkey Bingo has just one chat room that can be a little confusing as players are enjoying games in multiple rooms. Chat becomes overrun with 3TG, 2TG etc. pre-sets so it’s difficult to follow a conversation.
Promotions are quite limited to those offered across the sites already open on the network but who is going to sniff at the likes of a £10K free game every Friday night.
Mandalay don’t ‘monkey’ around when they do bingo and Monkey Bingo is another great example of why they are at the top of their game.
