Merlin Bingo Review - Site Reviews
Newly launched in February 2015 Merlin Bingo operates on the Cozy Games software as part of the Live Bingo Network. As suggested by the name, the site has a fantasy theme and when we land on the homepage it’s appealing, though typical of the software.
It’s pretty easy to find your way around the site with a fairly good layout, clean and simple. The format will be familiar to anyone who has played this software before and like other brands on the software Merlin Bingo offer big bonuses! We registered in just a few minutes but we did have to enter our card details to verify our identity. Once you have created an account you can browse the different games around the site.
The bingo tab at the top of the screen will take you to the bingo lobby and that page is integrated into the main page. The bingo rooms appear in list format and there’s plenty of information from the lobby to help you decide on a room. If it’s variation you’re looking for there are plenty of different types of games available. We find plenty of 90-ball rooms, 80-ball, 75-ball, 50-ball and 30-ball rooms so whatever you want to play there’s plenty of action!
Once you do decide which room to enter just hit the play button and the bingo screen will launch in a new window. We’re not the biggest fans of this software and think it’s a big fussy and not all that functional, but considering the player numbers not everyone agrees as there are loads of people online when we play. Ticket prices are on the budget side and this is great and there are also plenty of BOGOF offers in the bingo rooms, jackpot games and more too. Chat is really annoying and we really believe that this network has some of the worse chat hosts ever! The chat room is overloaded with smileys and we only wish we could close it out, which unfortunately isn’t an option here.
If you move away from the bingo the brand also has a casino section and there’s a big selection of slots, instant wins and casino games to play. Just like the bingo there is everything in abundance and while we don’t feel the quality edge to the games is quite there, many players clearly think otherwise showing that sometimes you have to try it out and see for yourself.
Overall we feel Merlin Bingo has a number of both good and bad points, but we do feel that they aren’t really offering anything different to anything else on the network. Once in the bingo rooms we could have been at any Live Bingo Network site and there are no unique offers or giveaways. It’s ok, and there are some big bonuses so it’s worth a peek but we’re not sure we’d stick around.
