Mainstage Bingo Review - Site CLOSED

Mainstage Bingo closed to players in August 2017 and as it left the market, so did the software. We cannot offer a comparitive alternative but do suggest trying this popular site.

In May 2013 Mainstage Bingo opened its virtual doors to players with an opening offer that included a no deposit deal for new registrations. Some 10 months later, at the time this review was originally created, the no deposit offer was still available. The site is managed by Imperium Network Solutions are runs on the software provided by Beast Gaming.

Landing at Mainstage Bingo for the first time we were quite impressed with the design, it’s simple yet effect and the logo certainly fits well with the brand. Bingo balls appear to be the main focus but then that is why we are here!

When we clicked the register button our browser showed that the certificate was invalid, something that always makes us a bit wary when registering with a brand like this. We were already wary simply because the site is licenced in Curacao, which isn’t one of the well-known jurisdictions for online gaming.

We forged ahead though in order to compile the review and found the registration process pretty straightforward although it was odd that capitals are not allowed in your username, not something we have ever encountered before with all the brands we have signed up to. When registration was complete we had to validate our account through the welcome email that Mainstage Bingo had sent. As soon as that was done a click of the ‘Play Now’ button was required and we were taken to a bingo room.

At 7am in the morning we were unable to play a game of bingo simply because all the games we bought tickets for at the site were cancelled due to ‘insufficient purchases’. However, whilst we couldn’t actually play the gaming experience on offer looked quite dull and lifeless if we are honest. At this point we closed the site with plans to return later in the day to see if things had improved.

By lunchtime there were enough players in the room to at least make a game, but again the rooms aren’t packed out (there were 17 players during our lunchtime visit). We received the following information from the director of the affiliate program for this product following our review; "The rooms have very strong traffic late in the afternoon and throughout the evening, but we could also point out that our main room has FIXED jackpots (up to 250 pounds) from 9am to midnight".

The game plays quite well, smoothly at least but there does seem to be a lot of wasted space on the bingo screen, tickets aren’t exactly taking mainstage here.

There are three bingo rooms to choose from in total, two 90-ball bingo rooms and a single 75-ball room, but only the lead room has enough players to justify a game. Maybe it gets busier in the evenings, but the whole appeal of online bingo is that it’s available 24/7, which doesn’t really work when there aren’t any players on site.

If you do find the bingo rooms empty, you might find yourself heading for the games section, and this at least is fairly comprehensive with a great selection of titles available. The casino section is really comprehensive with a huge selection of table games, slots, scratchcards and arcade games. Again, the graphics here aren’t quite as sleek as at some well-known sites but we have no complaints about the games section at all. Be aware that you cannot play games with bonus funds, so you will need to make a deposit before you can try these out.

Overall, we’re not sure whether Mainstage Bingo would be our site of choice, but it’s ok and playable enough. The biggest issue for us was just lack of people power, there just weren’t enough players to make the game exciting for us, and as such we’re not sure it would be our site of choice.

At one stage the brands powered by the Beast Gaming software used to offer live bingo callers, probably the best thing about sites from this network. However, this has not been the case for at least 12 months prior to compiling this review. This means the unique selling point, the brands possible only saving grace for us has gone.
