ITV Bingo Review - Site Reviews
Due to issues with the affiliate program for this brand we have chosen to redirect our readers to a site offering the same gaming experience.
ITV Bingo started life when Bingo Night Live was airing on television and was originally powered by the old Party Gaming software as part of their network. A number of things happened; Bingo Night Live went off air, Party Gaming purchased Cashcade and the site moved to the 888/Globalcom software as a standalone site. However in August 2011 ITV Bingo became part of the Cashcade network.
When you first visit ITV Bingo you are welcomed by some familiar ITV caricatures; there is Reg Holdsworth, Becky McDonald and Norris Cole so you are instantly aware of the theme that is going to run through this site. Registration is where you may stumble upon an issue with this site because as part of a network you may find that your details are already registered at one of the many other brands available on the Cashcade network. It could be your email address or your financial details (this brand require your credit card details at registration.) It’s not really worth trying to get details that work to register at this brand because you can play the same games at the brand you are already register with.
However if you are new to the whole Cashcade network then registration should take no time at all and within minutes you are able to login and visit the lobby of ITV Bingo. You are welcomed to the lobby by more caricatures; Norris and Reg are they but this time they are joined by Rita Sullivan. There are five tabs to choose from but how ITV Bingo vary from other brands on the network is that they offer two rooms, under the Corrie Bingo tab, that are standalone (only accessible to players who have registered with ITV Bingo). These are the Rovers Return and The Cabin although only the latter was open at the time of the review. There are four other tabs available boasting 90 and 75 ball games, instant wins and the pre-buy games. Details for each room are shown that include room name, opening times (if not open), prize amount, cost per ticket, time until next game, number of players and whether a host is on duty or not.
In the actual rooms at ITV Bingo you’ll find a different colour scheme to your standard networked bingo rooms; a pink and grey affair that has a Marmite effect – you’ll love it or hate it. The ticket buying options are to the left of your bingo tickets although these change to the call board when the game is in play. Chat is to the right and above the chat room are the instant win games. Details of the prize money and pattern you are currently playing for are shown above your bingo cards. ITV Bingo offer you two options for the game play – manual or auto dab but either option has an automatic call for bingo so you won’t even miss out on winning a game if your numbers match those called.
There are daily pre-buy games available from the lobby of ITV Bingo with ticket prices that start from 5p and rise to £1. Jackpots for these games begin at £500 and reach the heady heights of £5,000 and each is a guaranteed jackpot. In addition to the pre-buy guaranteed jackpot games at ITV Bingo there are guaranteed jackpot games playing throughout the day in various rooms.
Promotions at ITV Bingo are standard to the network so there are no real “corkers” in amongst their schedule although we have seen this brand giveaway a selection of Coronation Street goodies in the past. This was as a standalone brand though, as a networked site we don’t think as much effort is put into things.
ITV Bingo, if you can get past the registration nightmare, is an OK brand – the games are familiar, room layouts as you would expect from a site powered by the 888/Globalcom software but it does lack something that will grab your attention.
