Gold Bingo Review - Site Reviews
Gold Bingo sparkled on to the bingo scene towards the end of July 2014, another brand who opted for the 888 software as part of the Dragonfish network. Sporting a name that is synonymous with wealth we were excited to sign up and see if we could ‘pan’ some of it for ourselves.
When you land at Gold Bingo for the first time there is little in the design of the homepage that makes the brand stand out. The logo is quite bland for a site of this name and the overall look is too similar to 100+ other sites online at the moment. Gold Bingo does little to make a great first impression.
As a Dragonfish brand you will probably find yourself familiar with the registration process at this site. It literally takes just moments to create an account and then you are ready to visit the lobby and see exactly what (if anything) makes Gold Bingo different from all the other brands on the same network.
The Members Area is your first port of call and it is from here you can opt to deposit or enter the site by clicking ‘Play Now’. In this area you can view your account details and game transactions and deposit history. A quick deposit and then we were off to the main lobby. No surprises here to be honest – the lobby layout is standard to the network with a left hand vertical navigation menu and room details in the centre of your screen. You will see details of each room like time until next game, ticket price, number of players but little else. There’s all a little flash banner advertising the latest network promotion.
Enter any room and again, the layout is standard to the network with your purchasing options (call board during a game) to the left, bingo tickets in the centre and chat off to the right. Purchasing tickets is simple but there is no ‘about to buy’ notification – just click and buy.
Gaming options for bingo are quite limited on the Dragonfish network when compared to the likes of Virtue Fusion with the two games most prevalent being 75 ball pattern and 90 ball at Gold Bingo. There are a few 75 ball multi line games offered but not nearly as many as we would like to see. When it comes to instant win games, there is a pretty impressive portfolio to be found at this site.
There are an abundance of jackpot games available at Gold Bingo too but these are your standard network offerings. Seven daily jackpots and the £1 million coverall games as well as several others under the “Money Maker’ tab from the lobby. Additionally there are two progressive jackpots on offer.
Sadly Gold Bingo don’t have any exclusive promotions or offers to make their brand stand out from the crowd so we’d have to say “all that glitters is not gold” in summary.
