Giant Bingo Review - Site Reviews

Giant Bingo joined the ranks of the Mandalay Media / Intertain network of brands at the beginning of February 2015, another site powered by the 888 software . As the name suggests, a giant is the mascot for this brand. He’s not one that’s unfriendly though, more BFG than Jack and the Beanstalk giant. Dotted in the design are rainbows and pots of gold along with a splattering of shamrocks; are we to presume he is an Irish giant?

This changed in 2018 when sites were required to remove any images that may appeal to children so the friendly giant, whilst still about, is relegated to the pages after login and age verification.

The landing page for Giant Bingo provides a wealth of promotional information to encourage your patronage. There are details of the welcome offers (these change intermittently so are listed later in the reviews), news of the reload bonus, a list of winners and a heads up that you can play their games on your mobile or tablet too.

To get in on the action you have to register an account with Giant Bingo that takes literally minutes. You complete the sign up form (making sure to include your financial details if there is a no deposit required bonus available when you register), choose a username and then pretty much; you’re ready to play. When you login you are first taken to the ‘Members Area’ of the site. Here you will see you currently balances (both bonus and cash), your loyalty balance and details of the current promotions at the site. From here, click ‘Play Now’ to be taken to the lobby.

It is the lobby that is the bingo menu – the place that you can see all the flavours that the brand has to offer by way of bingo games and instant wins. From Jackpots to Slots – it’s all in the lobby. The navigation is set out in a tabular, horizontal format and everything is clearly labelled.

Giant Bingo Lobby

Free Bingo

All of the free games that the site has to offer is listed under a tab in the main lobby and it is here you can see the special rooms for depositors.

You should note that the rooms are linked with the other brands from Mandalay Media so you aren’t just competing with Giant Bingo players for the pots.

Standard 75 and 90 Ball Games

There are tabs for the usual 75 and 90 ball games accessible from the main lobby and by clicking either you can see information about what each room has to offer. There are details of the room name, ticket prize, number of cards maximum available, the jackpot amount, the number of players and the time until next game.

You will also find the site hosts a selection of 5-line 75 ball games to complement the standard games.

There is also a dedicated tab for penny games of which several pre-buy guaranteed jackpots play each and every day from 10am in the morning until 11pm at night (10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 9pm and 11pm). Each game offers £50 guaranteed jackpots.

There is a dedicated area for the big money (or Diamonds) guaranteed jackpots on offer from Giant Bingo. It is in this area that you can pre-buy tickets for some of the biggest jackpots on offer from this brand.

Other tabs include VIP (which is pretty self explanatory) Slots. The latter lists a selection of some of the most popular instant win games available from the site.

Playing Bingo At Giant Bingo

When you have chosen your game room simply click the image and you are taken to the bingo screen. As with all 888 powered sites, the layout is likely to be very familiar if you are a regular online player.

Your purchase options are to the left of the screen (which become the call board when a game is in play). In the middle of the screen are you bingo tickets with game details listed above (jackpot amount and number of players as well as the game pattern if in 75 ball). To the right of the screen is the chat room (of which there is only one at Giant Bingo no matter which room you are playing in) and above that are the instant win games. Across the top of the screen are details of your balance, banking options and game options if you wish to customise your game play.

At the time of the review the promotions were quite limited at Giant Bingo with only the guaranteed jackpots and penny games shown in this area of the site. However, as the site ages we are sure we will see more from the brand.

In Summary

Giant Bingo looks great but there are now so many brands online that are pretty much a carbon copy of each other, it’s not as interesting as we were hoping (although certainly not expecting).
