Brits Bingo Review - Site Reviews
The home page of Brits Bingo is quite impressive in comparison with many of the Dragonfish brands and very bright and appealing. When the site first launched they had Gavin Henson as a wingman, but his association with the brand is over now and you’re greeted by two cartoon characters on either side of the homepage. The logo is equally as impressive for this brand, a bingo ball with a crown and a Union Jack emblazoned on it - it really does the brand justice and is relevant to the site name. The home page also details a list of six of the games soon to get underway at the site with the room name, game type, price per ticket, prize and start time - all very useful information and something that is likely to get the players looking for the "Join Now" button. There are also details of the latest big winners (but remember this is a networked Dragonfish site so the jackpot may have been won elsewhere on the network), details of the current game jackpots (the progressive that is also available to other players on the network) and details of the welcome bonus for new players.
Although you may expect to see a big "Join Now" button as a new player, there isn't one! To start the registration process you need to click "register" from the top menu of Brits Bingo. The usual details are required for registration at Brits Bingo including your name, address, email, phone number etc. You will also need to choose a username for this site, this is what other players and the chat hosts will refer to you as in the chat rooms. There is a section for financial details during registration to Brits Bingo but this can be ignored if you so wish as Brits Bingo offers free games to both depositing and unfunded players.
Once registration is complete you are automatically logged into your account and are ready to visit the bingo lobby. If you have accounts at any other Dragonfish networked brand then the lobby will have a familiar feel. The default setting when the lobby opens is to show you the 90 ball bingo rooms available at Brits Bingo but you also have Instant Games, 75 ball bingo, Specials, Free Bingo, Daily Jackpots and the £1m Jackpots. You can see from the lobby a selection of details about the bingo rooms that are similar to those shown on the home page. The main difference is that you can see if the room is hosted by a chat monitor: their name will appear on the room list in the lobby. On entering the room the layout of the games is standard to the network with your bingo tickets in the centre of your screen, chat to the right and your purchasing options to the left of your screen (this is replaced with the bingo call board when the game is in play).
This brand used to bring something different to the online bingo table but we were disappointed to find that the previous £25,500 Sunday game has now disappeared. Another disappointment was that from the lobby we could see what looked like a standalone room for Brits Bingo called Gavin's Bachelor Pad that was supposedly open for Fun and Frolics from 7pm until 11pm but we couldn't access it. This could be a room that had been opened whilst Gavin Henson starred in the Bachelor (ended October 2011) and they just haven't removed it yet. Whilst these little things are an irritant, it does go to show that Brits Bingo try to think outside of the bingo box that most Dragonfish networked brands are stuck in.
The general promotional schedule at Brits Bingo is however standard to the network with the usual suspects offered; Happy Hours, Team Bingo, Loyalty Points and of course the elusive £1M Jackpot games that are played three times a week. Free bingo is offered daily to both deposited and unfunded players in one room. Free Bingo All is the room for non-depositing players and offers £1 jackpot games every eight minutes from 7am until 7pm daily (90 ball bingo). The other rooms have restricted access to those players who have met the qualifying deposit amounts in their lifetime as a player with Brits Bingo.
Brits Bingo does try to bring something a little different to the network and succeeds in some ways - it's a site we think is worth a visit.
