I've been speaking to the Bingo historian Dr Carolyn Downs again this last week, and as it will be of interest to people in the industry I said I would mention this event she's involved with. The Gambling And Social Responsibility Forum will me held at the Manchester Metropolitan University on the 2nd of September 2008. The event will be a chance for people working in the Bingo and wider gambling industry to discuss topics around social responsibility with policy makers, support agencies and regulators. Dr Downs will be part of a panel entitled Education, Young People And The Media. For more information on this one day event you can download the brochure here (PDF format).
