Interesting news from the online bingo software provider Parlay today. They've announced that they're teaming up with online games and admin company Chartwell to launch a new online bingo network in Europe, based out of Malta. The joint project will go under the name of Bingo Nexus. There's no news as of yet of what properties the new firm will launch or a firm date on when Bingo Nexus goes live, but it will be featured at the Online Bingo Summit in London on the 17th and 18th. I'll be keeping an eye out for it when I'm there.
The move makes a lot of sense for Parlay, the loss of the American market thanks to the UGIEA has had an impact on the company, so expanding into the European market is the common sense thing to do. Their software is already well known in the UK, and with it's own network, the company could soon become one of the big movers in the network space. My concerns are, can the UK market sustain another set of Bingo skins and can Bingo Nexus do something special to differentiate their network sites from the rest of the pack.
