Just a snippet, I spotted news from icRenfrewshire earlier of a major fire at a former Bingo hall in Barrhead. I'm not quite sure when the club shut, but according to the report, The Central Bingo and Social Club had opened in 1970s prior to being a cinema built in the 1930s. Every time one of these buildings go, I feel a real pang of regret at the loss of a small Bingo hall. The culture, spirit and décor is lost for ever - when I get a chance I will add a page to the lost halls section and hope somebody has some photos of the inside they'd like to share here.
