Sad news of another small club closure from Belper in Derbyshire. The town's Bingorama club in King Street has been forced to close citing both the smoking ban and current tax regime as creating an 'economically unviable' business. The club is owned by Stylus Sports - it's been in business for 37 years.
UPDATE: The Bingorama hall is not alone in closing down. According to the BBC, a second hall in Derbyshire has also shut - The Regal at Stavely. Between the two halls that's 30 job losses.

It's a shame that it has to close after 37 years of providing good bingo. The smoking ban is making it difficult for bingo halls to maintain the usual number of players.
