Jackpot Joy Win Online Bingo Operator Of The Year - Old News Archive

I'm a little bit late on this one, but better late than even later. The annual eGaming Awards were held at the Natural History Museum in London on the 28th of September. A range of awards were given, and the one of most interest to us was for the Online Bingo Operator Of The Year. It was a surprise to me to see Jackpot Joy as the winner. As much as I like them and the strength of offering, I wouldn't necessarily think of them as a traditional Bingo provider.

I realise it's kind of churlish of me to moan in the face of their unarguable success. However, whilst they have been offering Bingo for a number of years, they're yet to offer the UK version of the game. It's good to hear that this will be changing in the near future, but for all their existence, they've only offered 75 ball Bingo. They must be congratulated on their innovations - The Price Is Right Bingo is one of their recent success stories and has no doubt attracted them a lot of players, and their software is pretty slick and well integrated across the range of games they provide.

My guess is that they have succeeded by attracting a lot of non traditional Bingo players, based on the breadth and depth of their other games. There is something in this that the more traditional online bingo suppliers should take note of. Personally, other than their recent innovations with the game, I've not seen anything about their Bingo offering that sets them apart from their competition - but as a whole online gaming package, they are terrific.

I'd love to know how many of their Bingo players would class themselves as regular UK retail Bingo and online bingo players. I'm guessing that it's not a high figure, and many of their regular Bingo players may not even realise they're playing a foreign variant of the game. For my money, when they do introduce 90 ball Bingo, they will become a very attractive destination to a whole new sector of the market. Then for me, they will truly be able to be described as an online bingo operator. In the meantime, well done to Jackpot Joy for winning such a prestigious reward.
