The day the Bingo industry in Wales has been dreading has arrived - from today it's illegal to smoke in any of the countries Bingo halls (or pubs, clubs or any enclosed public places). Prior to its introduction, the ban has already had effects in Wales with one of the Mecca Clubs in Swansea closing. It was cited as a pre-emptive move to protect Mecca's business. England follows on the 1 July.
