There's been a lot of interesting stories this week but I've been tied up getting another site off the ground. I'll do a quick run over of the Bingo stories that have caught my eye the last week.
First up, sensitive ears around the UK will be happy to hear that they will no longer have to put up with the caterwauling of Kerry Kantona when ever they visit Bingos UK. Her contract is up, and Bingos haven't decided who'll replace her. Personally, I don't think she gave a good impression to visitors, it made the site look tacky to my eyes - but that's probably just me. In the US, a lot of their Bingo has tie-ins with funding charity, and the Gala Bingo on the Englishgate Plaza, Carlisle has done something similar with their very own charity Bingo night. The night's session proceeds went to Pegasus Children's Trust.
Having worked for Rank back when they were Top Rank, I was sad to see the chain's 70 year's of being a household brand may soon come to an end with a sell off of its major assets. We all love the man with the gong, it's a shame to see it in such a state. Read More...
And finally... An 85 year-old from Liversedge won a Ford Ka in a prize draw at her local club, and ended up having to sell it. She split the proceeds between seven grandchildren as she could decide which one to give the car to!
